I've researched the topic of restraining the global population, and overall, I have come up with a few ideas on how to possibly reach ZPG, which seems imperative by now. First, we need to somehow try to inform all the people that we can that the population of the earth is indeed rising at a rapid rate. The demographic transition can only be completed in a country if the people of that country become familiar with the process of lowering the death rate, then lowering the birth rate, and all the details that go with it. If we can somehow let the world know of the danger we put ourselves, other species, and the environment in because of this, then perhaps we could then move on to reach ZPG in the future.
Another option that I believe could work in keeping the world population down is to limit the number of births allowed in a family. It may seem harsh, but the people of the earth will understand it more and be more willing to follow the plan if we let them know that this is being done in the interest of their own lives. This should be a last resort, however, and done only if there are no other actions that are working.
Lastly, I think that lots of people forget about adoption. If we could encourage people to adopt children rather than have their own, then this would work out much better. There are too many kids in the world without a home for us to bring more into the picture. We should take care of the lives our earth supports now before we worry about more. This would help lower the birth rate, even if it's a small amount.
These are just some of the best ideas I could muster into a small report. There are of course, many other ways to accomplish what we are discussing. Please let me know what you think.

There's an interesting theory I just found on how to control the world population...I'm not sure if it's really relevant but I thought it sounded interesting. It's at http://www.tencommandments.org/population.html
That is an interesting theory. The thing about that is so many people would end up dead and we may not even have hardly any people left! It's quite interesting though, I'll give it that!!
Yes, I did think it was a little strange. Haha. We'd all be gone.
I totally agree with your theory, other than what Sue said about there being no one else left on Earth۫. I think that the adoption theory is one of the best ideas I have heard. I strongly believe that educating the people of different nations could help but it could also become a major problem if people don't listen. That could a very big possibility considering many people already break many laws. Additionally I believe that passing a law about having fewer kids could also help. I have read some research about combining the governments to help fix problems all as one world united. This could also have its disadvantages as well. But again many people could just go and break it. Since Milea covered a lot of the solutions I believe, I don't have much more to say. I will do more research and post it as soon as I can. Any suggestions please let me know.
Milea I checked out that website you posted and your right it does state an interesting theory. Thanks for recommending that site for us to view. Like in Sue's article you both stated that we need to think of ways to spread the word about over population. One thing that i think you could of added is some ways that you thought we should inform people about the population rising. That's just a little thing I would be interested in hearing your ideas. Other than that I thought your article was very well researched and thought out. It will be a great thing to add to the group discussion.
You had many great ideas in this report. Although I do have one question. This is hypothetical. If we did actually do some of the things suggested in that article, wouldn't that be like genocide of the current nonreligous population?
haha i agree with what milea said about everything but when sue said we would all be gone thats not true its just there wouldnt be as many people milea thanks for the website it was very interesting.......but i do think we should spread the word about over population
I agree with both Maddison and Milea, I think that a child limitation law would definatly help the problem. But how we will be able to inform the people that this law is needed, I don't have the slightest clue. If we did pass this law it could also end up in an outrage all across the United States. Which would just make the problem more bad then it already is. But if we find a way to limit the amount of maximum capacity in a certain area, like so many thousands of people per state, then it would force the people to stop having children in a different perspective.
Kevin is right about the whole law thing it could definitely cause problems cause some people like to have bigger families.....like this one that has seventeen kids and two adults...haha thats crazy i really do think that we need to do something about the population cause its going to get comepletely overcrowded. i believe that we should make a law of like three to four kids in a family even if people got mad.....

This law would be a good idea to limit the population but how would we enforce it? The only way I could think of is killing the extra children born which is inhumane.
