does anyone have any way's of reducing the population that aren't forceful?
i think that raising awareness is one of the best idea's. maybe having classes made all around the world talking about the subject's, like overpopulation and topics involving the environment, would be a good idea. that would raise awareness in teens, since the older generations already had kid's there isn't too much we can do to convince them to lower the population. teens these day's are more committed to living peacefully and all that jazz so they might be more convinced to listen. i know i am fully aware of the thing's that are happening to the world and so do many other people. i just hope that we can actually do something before it's too late. there are plenty of people who wish to change thing's but they are just never given the chance. if we educate everyone about these topic's they may realize it's a problem and most people may want to change it. i understand that some people will have a lot of children but it's making the effort to do something that counts. in poorer countries, like africa, if we could supply better health care and more birth control there would be less of a population problem there as well. there is too much famine in disease that it's so hard for anyone there to be healthy but they keep having children. i don't blame them for it, they were never educated about different methods of birth control and how to prevent pregnancy or disease.
i would love feedback and other people's idea's..

I agree entirely. I don't think forcing people to not have kids is the answer at all. It is a very serious issue, but who is to say that simply talking to people and educating them can't solve it?
thank you charlie.
that's exactly how i feel. this issue is very serious but talking about it is the first step to actually doing anything to change it. it shouldn't be a forceful event that takes place, it should be well thought out and peaceful.
Amy is on the right track in thinking that a forceful change would be incorrect. Currently that would be saying that certain groups of people must limit offspring would be focusing on certain ethnic groups only.
What is true of the populations that cause them to have so many children? Poverty, lack of sanitation/medical care, LACK OF EDUCATION. Increase the quality of life and the value of women and the change will happen.
Many look at Peace Corp. and other workers in impoverished countries and believe that it is nice but what change could they possibly make? That is pure grassroots and the only way change has ever been made in the past. Actions of people create change, laws don't.
I agree with you Amy! Everyone needs education to help control population. If people aren't aware of over population dangers they may not know anything is even wrong. Education gives examples of ways to reduce the population and keep it controlled. What are some other opinions on how to reduce population?
