The United States of America uses a greater amount of natural resources also known as fossil fuels than any other country. Coal, oil, and gas are the three fossil fuels. Once these are gone, there is no way to get them back, ever! We can have these resources for a longer amount of time if everyone will just use them wisely. You could help in this important task by doing the following: by using public transportation, car pool when possible, save electricity, turn down the heat inside your house, and stop the burning of oil. That is just a small part of the list of things to do. Are you willing to adjust your current way of living to have these resources for a longer period of time, not only will you be able to enjoy them longer but they may possibly be around for your children and grandchildren to use? Everyone should be willing to take a hand in this important adventure.

Our resources are being used up so fast, we are creating our own downfall by letting this happen. We need to be more careful about what we do and how we do it. Turning off lights saves resources and it also helps prevent smog with also leads to preventing global warming.
If we save our resources everything will be changed. All of these topics are linked together in some way.
I think both of you are correct. We are using our resources up way too quickly. Other ways to save some of these resources would be switching to energy saving lightbulbs or hybrid cars.
This is the same thing that I was thinking. I have said that America is a selfish country, and that is true. We waste too many natural resources that could be used by someone who really needs them. If we were to conserve these quickly diminishing resources, I believe that would solve a huge problem. We created the mess that we are in by the choices that we made, so we should be able to conserve resources by making good choices now.
Ivy, I agree 100% with that. Once we loose them, they're gone, never to come back again. Personally, I think people should pay attention to the things they are doing; shut off the lights when they are done using them, turn off the oven, turn off all or any appliances when they are not in use, and/or shut the refrigerator door when you get what you need from it. It's time to save them instead of letting them fall and never get them back.
