I believe that the problem that must acted upon quickly is the effects of global warming. This is because it harms so many aspects of our earth. One effect is that it is causing malaria, lyme disease, and dengue fever, which could eventually kill thousands to millions of people. A long term effect is the way that it is causing the polar ice caps to melt, which is causing the ocean levels to rise.

I agree global warming is a problem. I don't think the melting of the polar ice caps will be a long time effect if the rate of global warming continues. we must start now to help stop global warming! Some ways to do this is to conserve fossil fuels by recycling, using only what you need of a resource.

how is the melting of polar ice caps not a long term effect of global warming?
if it continues the whole east side of the united states, including pennsylvania, is believed to end up disappearing under water.
we can't all move out west to make a new, safe life. we need to keep the life we have right here for the present time.
