Water and air pollution
I personally think water and air pollution are one of the biggest problems in our society. We use so many things that harm our environment and we burn so many natural gases that pollute our air. People dont realize that water and air polltuion are a big problem. I think things are on the edge and if one more major thing happens that pollutes our water or air things will go downhill fast. Water and air polution affect us and animals in major ways. Animals and humans are effected through both of these by infections, allergens, irritants and chemical toxins that can reduce the quality of life or cause disease. We definitely need to become more environment friendly!

Lindsey this is so true, we are so bad for our economy and environment. The worst part about of this is if the government really wanted to do something about this they could. They control everything else so why can't they control what American's do with their waste products? Even though most American's play some role in pollution, it is really the big businesses that dump so many chemicals into the water and pollute the air. America causes more environment problems as the time goes on because people are too selfish and proud to admit that they pollute or they waste energy. Something needs to be done because at this rate, we aren't going to be around much longer. The first step to recovery is admitting.

Sadly, the government has never been very good at standing up to large corporations because a lot of people in the government are/were part of these corporations.. Just look at Dick Cheney and Halliburton. (which was just recently in the news for covering up details of a woman being raped and locked in a container by their workers.

I completely agree when you say pollution is a major problem in society. Any kind of pollution is obviously a bad thing, so why not prevent it or make laws against it. I think that the government could make pollution go away a lot quicker if they would speak up about the importance.
Lindsey I think you are absolutly right about the problems with water and air pollution. Also I agree that pollution is a huge problem in our society. That's why I think we need to do something about it even if it ment making laws to help stop pollution. Just like you said we need to become more environment friendly. I think that people need to speak up about this problem so that it can be stopped.
